The ECGC has issued an indicative notification for the recruitment of Probationary Officers (POs) for the year 2023. However, an officially detailed notification for the recruitment will be uploaded on the official website on April 19, 2023. The recruitment process will commence from May 1, 2023 and will continue till May 31, 2023. The online examination will be conducted on July 6, 2023.

ECGC PO Exam 2023 Eligibility Criteria

First of all, the candidates must have completed the age of 21 years, i.e., the maximum age limit of the candidates should not be more than 30 years. Relaxation in the maximum age limit will be given to reserved category candidates as per government rules.

ECGC PO Vacancies 2023

ECGC PO Exam Pattern 2023

If you are the only candidate who is willing to prepare for ECGC PO 2023, then you must know about the ECGC PO Exam Pattern 2023. Significantly, the ECGC PO exam will consist of two papers, i.e., objective and descriptive, in online mode.

So here, let me make it clear to you that according to the ECGC PO Exam Pattern 2023, the following type of pattern will be included under the objective paper:

• There will be 50-50 questions on subjects like thinking ability and quantitative aptitude, for which a maximum of 50 percent of the marks will be prescribed. 
• A time of 40 minutes has been fixed for both of them. 
• And for the 40-40 questions of English Language and General Awareness, which will be of 40-40 marks only, you will be given 30 and 20 minutes, respectively. 
• And 20 questions of computer knowledge will be worth 20 marks only, for which you will get 10 minutes. 
• In this way, a total of 200 questions will remain out of 200 marks, for which you will be given a total of 140 minutes.
• In this sequence, under the ECGC Probationary Officer Notification 2023, 20 marks will be given for essay writing under the descriptive paper and 20 marks for precise writing, for which you will be given only 40 minutes. 
• Another important thing is that for every wrong answer in the objective test, you will have to pay a penalty of one-fourth of the mark.
